What I find most interesting about this list is that this Christmas’ The Last Jedi will be the last Star Wars movie in the near future that has a Holiday season release date, the rest of the announced movies, the Han Solo movie and Episode IX, return to Star Wars traditional release month of May, which is fine by me.  Though, it’ll be nice to get another taste of Star Wars only four months after we see The Last Jedi, it was becoming a holiday tradition to go see the new Star Wars movie, and that I’ll kind of miss.

Black Panther gets bumped from late this year to early next year, which is fine by me as I want this movie to have all the time it needs to be the best movie it can be, this needs to be amazing.  And with them still announcing casting for the movie as late as a few months back, there’s no way they could put this thing out this year at all.

I’m also really excited for Ava Duvernay’s adaptation of A Wrinkle In Time, it was one of my favorite books as a kid and I’m sure a director of her talent level will produce a worthy adaptation of the classic children’s novel.

Next year is really going to be great, between Avengers: Infinity War, Incredibles 2, Ant Man and The Wasp,  Wreck It Ralph 2 and Mary Poppins Returns with Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda.  Not to mention the Mulan remake.  Let’s hope that Mcdonald’s brings back their Szechuan Sauce when that comes out.

Also a new Indiana Jones movie for 2020, that I was initially hoping would be the rumored Chris Pratt reboot, but I’m also glad in a way that Harrison Ford is back for one more, if only to erase the stink of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull off his Indiana Jones legacy.

Three Untitled Marvel movies in 2020 as well, I’d almost be certain that they may include Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3, Doctor Strange 2 and likely Black Panther or Spider-Man 2 by this point, but we’ll see where that goes.

And lastly, here’s where the Star Wars stuff drops off, but I’m sure the plan will be a whole other trilogy, there’s no way they’re stopping that money train after one trilogy.  They feasibly could, but why would they?  They have our wallets in the palms of their hands, like Steam does for PC gamers.

What movies are you most excited for?   Do you like the neverending stream of Marvel and Star Wars movies or do you wish they would stop and let the franchises lie where they stand?   Leave some comments below and also don’t forget to follow the Reel Geek’s Guide Facebook page for more news, links, and memes.
